Ordering Colocation Service

Step 1: Determine Your Colocation Needs

NetSource charges for our colocation services based off the level of space, power, bandwidth, and managed services you require. You can view our colocation overview and colocation pricing pages for more information about our colocation services. The amount of space you require will be based on the size of your server environment, and can range from a single server or U, to a multiple racks. At NetSource, you can purchase colocation space by the individual U (1U, 2U,...), or you can purchase a 1/3 rack, 1/2 rack, or full rack configuration. When you are trying to determine your monthly costs, it is important to think through all of your needs and equipment first. Here is a list of just a few items to consider when purchasing colocation services:

Step 2: Contact NetSource, Schedule a Tour, Sign a Contract

Month to Month Colo ContractsNetSource will be happy to help you plan out your new colocation configuration and answer all of your questions. When you call, we can discuss your needs in detail, and then NetSource can provide you a quote for your required services. We also recommend that you come in for a tour of our datacenter. This will allow you to compare us to the other centers you may be researching. Asking for a tour is a great way to see what hosting providers are excited to show off their datacenters, and who may be embarrassed.

Once you feel comfortable with NetSource we can draft up an official contract for you, and then answer any questions you have about the contract. NetSource is one of the few companies that offer month-to-month terms on all of our colocation packages. We feel confident that you will stay with us, and we don't require long term contracts until you are ready.

Step 3: Plan The Install With A NetSource System Administrator

Once the contract has been signed, one of our highly trained system administrators will contact new customers for a follow-up call. The purpose of the call is to plan out the entire colocation install, and make sure both parties have all the information needed for a successful install. NetSource will provide the client with their IP addresses, answer technical questions, provide emergency contact information, and schedule the install date/time with each customer. NetSource assigns a specific technician to each account so that our customers don't have to explain their setup more than once. You get a high level of personal attention when you host with NetSource.

If a client feels that a face-to-face meeting with our system administrators is needed, then we can provide one. We also won't be asking for a credit card, because our main goal is for our clients to have a successful and stress-free install.

Step 4: Install Your Equipment and Begin Your Service

On the date of the planned colocation install, NetSource will have a system administrator ready to help you. NetSource offers up to 2 hours of free installation help to all of our new customers during the initial setup period. NetSource can answer any last minute questions you have, and even help you move the servers from your vehicle into the building. NetSource will make sure all of your keycards and passcodes work before you leave, and go over the emergency contact information with you.
