NetSource's solution is a true cloud platform because our clients are provided a cloud node running on Virtual machines. NetSource uses Xenserver's self healing configuration on our servers to allow nodes to move from one server to another during emergencies or for future growth. Another part required for a true cloud is central storage that is not on the same machine as the cloud node. NetSource uses fully redundant SANS for our cloud's storage needs. This allows us to scale up a clients hard disk space to accommodate future growth and easily move a cloud node to a different virtualization server if a configuration change is needed.

All virtual servers come with an online management tool, SSH, and RDP. NetSource's cloud hosting services allow you to easily manage your virtual servers with a tool developed for Citrix Xenserver. The mananagement tool has been built into our cloud service and will allow customers to manage multiple virtual servers all from the same area. The tool will allow you to install or uninstall applications, make server configuration changes, manage websites, manage users, reboot servers, and much more. You get all these features but also have the ability to manage the cloud server just like you would if it was a dedicated server (ex. RDP).

With most other cloud hosting providers you select how much ram you want and they provide you a certain "unkown" amount of CPU resources. At NetSource you pick the exact number of cores you will want to have access to on the server. Our cloud servers have dual Intel quad core server CPUs for a total of 8 cores. So if you select a server with 8 cores you will be able to use all 8 cores. If you select 1 core then 1 core is used. If there are extra resources on the server our system is smart enough to let you use them because that is what cloud computing is all about.

NetSource includes general firewall security with all cloud hosting packages at no cost. NetSource uses Juniper's advanced SRX series firewalls to protect our environment from outside security threats. NetSource has a technical staff with over 15 years experience managing Juniper firewalls to ensure the correct level of protection at all times.

Since NetSource provides a true cloud experience upgrading is easy. Simply let NetSource know that you require more CPU, RAM, or Disk and we can increase your levels in real-time. If you are on a server that doesn't have enough cores to support your required upgrade the system is intelligent enough to migrate your cloud node to a new server with the required resources. This can all be completed with no downtime do to the nature of the cloud.

While cloud servers are great for most applications they may not be a good fit for some. For example, cloud servers may not be a good match for high performance databases or enterprise applications with special needs.
